Veronica A. Diaz, MD is a Board Eligible Orthopaedic Surgeon with expertise in hand, elbow, and shoulder surgery, as well as general orthopaedics. A native of South Florida and fluent in Spanish, Dr. Diaz is a graduate of Princeton University, where she majored in Molecular Biology and was on the Varsity Swimming and Water Polo teams. Dr. Diaz earned her Medical Degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine in Gainesville, FL. She completed her Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at the University of Miami – Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, FL. She completed a Fellowship in Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA.
Dr. Diaz joined South Florida Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine as an orthopaedic surgeon in September 2010. She is a Candidate Member in the American Society for Surgery of the Hand and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Dr. Diaz has presented nationally and her research is published in several peer-reviewed medical journals.
