Scott M. Desman, MD is a Board-Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon. He is a Partner of South Florida Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine. Dr. Desman earned his Medical Degree from McGill University Faculty of Medicine in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He completed his Orthopaedic Residency and Surgical Internship at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In addition, Dr. Desman completed a Joint Replacement Fellowship with Dr. Richard Rothman in Philadelphia and Sports Medicine and Arthroscopy Fellowship with Dr. Robert Jackson at the Orthopaedic and Arthritic Hospital in Toronto, Canada.
Dr. Desman has practiced orthopaedic surgery for over 20 years. He is a Member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and Martin County Medical Society. Dr. Desman is a national presenter and his research is published in peer-reviewed medical journals.
Dr. Desman has served as a Team Orthopaedic Surgeon numerous times in the past, including for the Miami Breakers Professional Tennis Team, Toronto Argonauts Professional Football Team, Davis Cup Tennis Team of the Bahamas, Miami Wheelers of the National Cycle League, Lipton Tennis Tournament, United States National Baseball Team Olympic Trials, and Lipton’s Governor’s Cup Tennis Championship.
