Daniel S. Husted, MD

Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon, Spine Care Specialist

Daniel S. Husted, MD is a Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon and Partner of South Florida Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine, with expertise in spine surgery and general orthopaedics. Dr. Husted earned his Medical Degree and graduated summa cum laude from the University of Florida College of Medicine in Gainesville, FL. He completed his Surgical Internship and Orthopaedic Residency at Yale University in New Haven, CT. He completed a Fellowship in Spine Surgery at the SpineCare, San Francisco Spine Institute. Dr. Husted was presented with multiple prestigious awards while completing his studies and training. He was the recipient of the Crisman Award for Excellence in Research from the Yale Department of Orthopaedics, Yale Orthopaedic Alumni Association Research Grant, and AO North American Resident Research Grant. He was a Finalist in the Smith and Nephew Resident Research Competition and received a Third Place Yale Surgical Anatomy Award. He also received the Recognition for Research Excellence and Academic Excellence Award from the University of Florida College of Medicine, Havens Perkins Award, and University of Florida College of Medicine Alumni Scholarship. He earned membership in the AOA Honor Medical Society and Junior Honors Medical Program. 

Dr. Husted has been an orthopaedic surgeon at South Florida Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine since 2006. He is a Member of the North American Spine Society and Yale Orthopaedic Association. Dr. Husted has presented nationally and his numerous research projects are published in peer-reviewed journals.
